This study was conducted to analyze isolation, structural elucidation of ethanol extraction of Leucas aspera Linn leaves [LAP] possess in vitro anti inflammatory. The present work which involves the Anti inflammatory activity of LAP were investigated by carrageenan induced paw edema assay [CIPEA] in rats and the chemical structures of the isolated compounds were established by Mass, FTIR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and 2D COSY spectroscopic techniques. The results indicated that Leucas aspera Linn leaves reported significantly higher anti-inflammatory activity at dose of 100 and 200 mg/kg when compared to that of standard Celecoxib dose levels. However, the anti-inflammatory effect of single doses is having lower activities and the chemical structures of the isolated compounds from LAP were concluded that the expected structure is 5, 7, 4’, 5’-tetrahydroxy-8-methoxy-propylene-Apigenin (flavonoid).
